Beautiful accomodation! The Abel Tasman Villa was my home away from home for a few months, and I enjoyed every moment. The Villa is beautifully laid out with spacious airy rooms, comfortable furniture, plenty of storage and is very well equipped. There are 2 bedrooms and guests have their own private bathroom. The views are absolutely stunning, and many hours can be spent simply relaxing on the deck watching the activity in the harbour. The location is perfect for enjoying all that the Nelson area has to offer, and there are some very good restaurants within walking distance. However, with such incredible views, the evenings are just perfect dining at home and watching the sun set! Our host made sure we were very comfortable upon arrival, and was only a phone call away if we needed anything. It was the perfect place to spend time in Nelson.

This is a place that any experienced traveller would enjoy. Relaxing, quiet, views one will not tire of, very well equipped and furnished. Hosts that are generous with help but not intrusive. We would definitely return here and stay longer.

I loved every moment in your lovely stylish home and long to spend the remainder of our holiday here, lost A insists that we travel south to see lakes and this and that, glaciers, mountains and rivers despite mu many pleas! Next year I am coming ALONE! (not really I would hate to be without him!)

I rented this villa long term in 2013 for about 4 months, from mid-winter into the beginning of summer. It is very well appointed with a high standard of chattels and furnishings. There is a longish staircase from the street to the front door but not too taxing and also a motorised bag lift to assist half way if you need it. It was warm and dry in the winter and light and airy in summer. The neighbourhood is pleasant with many gardens and well kept houses.The view is superb! There are many vantage points within the villa to appreciate it and it really does make the villa quite wonderful, certainly to the extent that you think twice before going out if you have to, i.e. it's a very relaxing getaway place, private and attractive.There's no doubt it is an expensive rental, but worth it in my opinion.

The vila was exactly as described and even so Nicola was not there when we arrived, she made sure we were well looked after. The views are amazing and the stairs up to the Vila are easy to manage unless you are a heavy smoker!!! The location is good as well and we even walked most times into the city (approx. 20 minutes) and took a taxi ride back. Would definitely stay there again. Thanks Nicola!

Situated on the hill directly behind the famous Nelson 'Cut' -the channel that divides the inner harbour from the sunny Tasman Sea, Abel Tasman Villa is a well-appointed, sun-drenched retreat with indoor/outdoor flow and fabulous views of the ever changing Nelson seascape.It is up several flights of stairs,so you get a good workout coming and going , but your luggage is transported by a baggage gondola, so don't sweat!Our 10 day stay was like living at home, away. I love cooking and the kitchen has all the necessary equipment..and more. We were celebrating, so the champagne flutes were spot on! There was plenty of linen and bathroom goodies. A garage for the car and broadband and music are available if you get sick of the al fresco lifestyle and views.All in all, a wonderful experience.

We have traveled to New Zealand many times and have come back to Abel Tasman Villa as our favourite accommodation in the Nelson /Golden Bay area. The home is so comfortable and well appointed that you never want to leave but is centrally located for great day trips in the area. The views and sunsets from out Villa are amazing! Your hosts, "the Nicks of Nelson" as we love to call them offer true KIWI hospitality.
